Recent Sephora Finds

I’m trying to live a more minimalist lifestyle, and part of that change-up involves indulging WAY less just because there’s a sale. I’ve unsubscribed from store deal emails, unfollowed most brands on Facebook and Instagram, and I’m trying to tune in to what I want and need, rather than what a sale is dictating that I should buy. That said, I’ve recently noticed that my hair is in terrible shape. I just had a hair cut and my ends are already splitting up again. I decided to use Sephora’s recent VIB sale to stock up and today I’m going to share with you my recent Sephora finds.

Since my main concern was healing my unhealthy hair, I decided I needed move away from my super low maintenance routine and start adding in a lot more products that will help with hair repair. My first buy was the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask. It’s good for all hair types, and it’s a weekly treatment that restores moisture, creates vibrancy, and prevents future damage. Most importantly, it’s great for dry, brittle, over-processed hair like mine, and has 95% naturally-derived ingredients. Instead of leaving it on for 5 minutes, I got my hair wet in the sink and applied it all over, focusing on the ends. I let it dry on my hair overnight and showered it off in the morning. So far, it feels like it made a big difference in one use. I can’t wait to keep using this once or twice a week! Not from Sephora but still relevant to this convo- I’m currently using Function of Beauty for my shampoo/conditioner, which I just wrote about the other day.

Bumble and bumble - Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil 3.4 oz/ 100 mL Allure Best of Beauty Seal

The next thing I bought for my hair, is the Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil. What I need is moisture, detangling, heat protectant, anti-frizz and shine. I get all of that and then some with this formula. I’ve tried a sample of this in the past and loved it, so I am glad to finally own my own bottle. I have noticed an immediate change in the health of my hair and split ends in only once use, so I’m really excited to keep going with it.

Ouai - Memory Mist Heat Protectant 4.4 oz/ 126 g

The last hair product I bought was the Ouai Memory Mist. I’m already in love with this spray. I bought this because my hair feels the most dry and brittle right after I hairspray it. Memory Mist is a heat protectant, plus when you use it before you style, it memorizes your hair’s shape and texture and holds it that way until your first shampoo. What this means for me is that after I’m done doing some loose waves in my hair, I don’t need to hairspray it to set the style since I’ve already used the Memory Mist. So far, so good. My hair feels super soft and looks healthy after styling it, and I’ll be able to extend longer between washes since I’m not adding hairspray buildup. Win win!

Origins - Plantscription™ Anti-Aging Power Serum 0.91 oz/ 27 mL Clean at Sephora

The one thing I didn’t walk into Sephora for was eye cream, but I left with Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Eye Cream. I’ve had the lazy approach with my 3-steps of skincare lately and though my regimen is effective, I’m craving more luxury. I’ve been skipping eye cream a bunch this summer, and have been wanting to start using one again. I applied this while walking around Sephora, and I’m not kidding you I actually felt a noticeable difference in the firmness of my eye area. I’m only 33! My under eye area isn’t even that bad. Usually I notice no difference when I use an eye cream besides the skin there feeling a little smoother, but I really can tell with this one. Worth a try!

LANEIGE Glowy Lip Balm Image 6

Last but not least, I grabbed Laneige Glowy Lip Balm in Pear. I have the lip sleeping mask which I love, but don’t tote it around much because I have to stick a finger in the tub. It’s great for when I’m doing my bedtime routine and can wash my hands, but not so sanitary for on the go. I love having a squeezy tube of a great lip balm on hand!

Should I keep you all posted on how I feel about these products individually? Let me know if I should do a follow up post where I review these after trying them for a while. What did you buy at the VIB sale?
