Ever since we have had to start wearing masks everywhere we go, I’ve been trying to up my self-care routine. One of the things I’ve been doing is wearing lip gloss all the time. No, not with a mask! That would be quite a mess. But around the house I like to have glossy, moisturized lips that feel healthy and amazing. It’s a little thing I do to feel a little more myself when I’m spending the majority of my days at home. I have softer lips lately than I’ve had in years. Here’s what I’ve been hoarding using.
My favorite lipglosses
Fitglow Beauty Lip Serums– These are by far my favorite lipglosses I have ever found. I have been collecting them left and right since I first discovered them. They aren’t cheap ($40+ for one!) but they are worth every penny. That’s a huge claim, I know, but they are vegan, cruelty-free, and get a 0 on the Think Dirty scale. They are also lip softening and improve the texture of my lips with every application. Just wearing this one time repairs my lips from being dry and cracked to fully healed. It’s incredible! I won’t stop until I have every shade. Use the Honey App to get the lowest price on Fitglow Beauty stuff…I usually score at least 15% off my order this way.
Tower 28 glosses– I tried these on a whim after reading a recommendation from The Stripe in an old blog post. These are green beauty, thick on the lips, super moisturizing, and also leave behind a softening texture that improves the lips with every wear.
Thrive PSL Liquid Lip Balm Treatment– I’ve been really into Thrive lately and since I’ve been into lip treatments too, I decided I needed this! This is meant to be a hybrid lip oil, lip mask, and leave-on lip serum. This specific formula is PSL with natural oil notes of creamy vanilla, warm cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and spiced clove. Luckily, the scent isn’t overwhelming at all, and there is no taste. This reminds me of Fitglow’s lip serums more than any other gloss I’ve found. When perusing Thrive’s site I noticed they also have a plain version of this that’s not PSL.
Ilia Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil– Of all the glosses I listed here this is the most oily and the most translucent. I love how glossy this is. It leaves a nice wash of color and leaves my lips feeling super soft.
Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lips– I LOVE these so much and the price is perfect when you buy them as a trio. They come in a click up applicator, and the formula is thick, juicy, and smells like coconut. The color is vibrant and shiny. So good!
Kosas Wet Lip Oil Gloss– This one didn’t make the picture for some reason (oops) but I love it just the same. It’s juicy, has about a medium thickness, and is shiny with the slightest of tints.
If I had to choose two to try, I would say you need to check out Fitglow Beauty Lip Serums FOR SURE. They are my all time favorite gloss. If you’ve tried them you know what I mean. If you haven’t, you don’t know what you’re missing. I would also try out the Tower 28 because they’re awesome, and for the price point alone they are totally worth checking out!
What’s your favorite lip gloss? It is definitely my favorite thing to splurge on! Tell me your fave in the comments!
