Fable Soap Co. Skincare Review

I don’t know about you, but the way I’ve been shopping during the pandemic has been totally different. I don’t really go to stores anymore so I’m doing a lot more shopping online. I’m also trying to support smaller businesses so they can continue to be around long after our country moves forward from this crisis! Self-care is also on the forefront of my mind. I’ve been using some really great farm-to-face skincare for the last few months, and since there’s never been a better time to support small, I thought this was the perfect time to share!

First of all, I think it’s amazing that their formulas are 100% clean, use botanical extracts, natural clays, and soothing oils. I love the packaging, which is made from beautiful glass and is minimalist. I fully intend to repurpose the product packaging when these are empty, which will be soon!

Turmeric Charcoal & Copaiba Facial Cleanser

One of the cleaners Fable Soap Co. offers is their Turmeric Charcoal & Copaiba Facial Cleanser. The formula is a black soap packaged with a pump. I have really come to enjoy using this. When I’m trying to evoke a feeling of what this will be like for you to use, all I can think of is the cleanest clean that you could imagine for your skin. I am envisioning being part of the Dirty Ninja Mud Run a few years ago and how my skin felt absolutely disgusting after I was done with that. Or running 5 miles in the beating hot sun. Or even just simply having a blah day and waking up and wanting to take the best shower ever. What type of facial soap would I be reaching for when I need the most invigorating and clean feeling of my life? That is the type of cleanser this is; intense and wonderful and a deeply detoxifying experience.

I like to get a lather going with this and have a self-care moment as I work it into my skin. I have been taking my time with relaxing rituals lately, and getting ready for the day or doing a nighttime routine can be a form of loving yourself. I have a gua sha stone, but I like using my hands just as much, not just rubbing in the cleanser, but also massaging my face. I always rinse it off with a clean towel and then move on to the next step, toner.

Available in a 2 oz. travel size for $8 and a 7.35 oz. for $24.

Neroli & Frankincense Hydrating Facial Mist

The next product of theirs that I have been enjoying is the Neroli & Frankincense Hydrating Facial Mist. This is made from witch hazel and other botanical ingredients. I typically like to use the 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant morning and night when I need a super deep clean. Right now, my skin is a little congested and when it’s that way I need targeted ingredients. But during times when my skin is already looking and feeling great, this type of toner is perfect. I picture myself using this all the time during the summer just as a refresh. As a very simple toner, this is the type of formula I’d hand to one of my daughters as a teen. It’s simple, clean, and refreshing.

Available in a 2 oz. size for $6 and a 7.35 oz. for $20.

Rose Clay & Goat Milk Dry Mask

I love the Rose Clay & Goat Milk Dry Mask so much. Besides having awesome ingredients you can mix it with anything you want to create your own mask! There is rose clay, goats milk, and all the benefits that come with that those (alpha-hydroxy acids that remove dead skin cells, Vitamin A for tissue repair and reduction of lines and wrinkles, acne, etc). AND since it’s dry, it’s easy to mix it with whatever medium you would like. I have tried water, but you could also use yogurt, green tea, honey, ACV, or anything else that sounds appealing. I love that they let you mix it on your own because if they were to pre-mix it for you the tub would be 10 times bigger and $$$. This will last me forever and I can customize it.

When I add water to the formula, I spread it all over my face and let it dry. By the time I rinse it off my skin is baby soft. It’s so gentle and my skin is left so soft. I’m living my best life every time I use this.

Available in single use size for $6 and 2 oz. for $24.
