I am always on the lookout for exciting new (or new to me) makeup brands, and when I recently discovered Doll 10 Beauty, I was excited to check out the cruelty-free brand. Doll 10 Beauty is named as such because they believe in 10 minutes of self-care re-writing the narrative for the rest of your day. AMEN! I believe the same. Makeup for me is definitely my favorite form of self-care, and I feel like I am putting my best foot forward when I take the time to make myself up.
I grabbed a few of the Doll 10 Beauty makeup products that appealed to me, and have been trying them for the last few months. I was excited to see that on top of having a really nice selection of beauty products, they’re also full of good for your skin ingredients. There are no sulfates (LS and SLES), parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. And they are cruelty-free.
What appealed to me most about this brand was the good-for-you ingredients, and the gorgeous models on their site who have perfect glowing skin. I want some of that! I’ll detail below what I picked out and what my opinions on everything were.
Doll 10 Beauty Hits & Misses
Rose Brilliance Face & Eye Palette
Rose Brilliance Face & Eye Palette: This palette immediately appealed to me due to the fact that it has a variety of cool toned and warm toned shades, all in the neutral/rose family. Purple is my favorite color and I always reach for neutral eyeshadow, so I figured that this would be an all-in-one palette for me. As you can see, it also has two larger pans that would make gorgeous blush and highlighter.
With the variety of cool and warm tones, I really had high hopes for this palette as being multifunctional. Overall, it performed very well with an eyeshadow primer. The shades come across neutral and are buildable, so they’re not ultra pigmented upon first application. That makes them perfect for an everyday, easy and quick look. It’s a solid palette that I have enjoyed wearing. The colors are so pretty, and just about every shade I’d ever want to reach for is in there.
For me, this was a HIT!

Split Decision Eyeliner
Split Decision Eyeliner: I loved the idea of this eyeliner at first glance. It is a dual liner, with the packaging allowing for two different formulas of gel eyeliner in one. There is a satin and a pearl side depending on what kind of look you are going for. Both sides have a very pigmented and long-wearing formula. I’m a huge fan of gel liner because it usually goes on super creamy and is easy to apply (with the right angled brush). I have two shades: Total Eclipse (black), and Luna (dark brown).
I have hooded eyes that make wearing eyeliner on my top lid a little tricky. It needs to dry right away to a completely matte finish, because of how my lids are shaped. Anything that doesn’t set right away, ends up being a smeary mess. I wanted this to work for me, but it just didn’t set fast enough for what I like. The colors are spot on though. If you don’t have hooded eyes, give this a whirl! Here’s my current favorite gel liner.
For me, this was a miss.

Anti-Stress Skin Perfecter
Anti-Stress Skin Perfecter: I was super excited to test this out, because everyone on Doll 10’s website has gorgeous skin. I love skincare/makeup hybrid products, and this is one, since it has 10 powerful ingredients promising to erase imperfections, smoothing away texture, fighting skin-stress and leaving skin with a radiant finish. It also has mineral pigments, and I love the buildable coverage that mineral makeup provides.
I grabbed the light/medium shade, and it is absolutely perfect for my skin. It works almost like a primer and foundation in one, going on super smoothly and making my skin look smooth and perfect. My skin texture feels like glass when I wear this! All I do in addition to this, is apply a little concealer under my eyes and a dusting of translucent powder to set everything in place.
For me, this was a hit!

HydraLux Concealer
HydraLux Concealer: I’m always excited for a new concealer. This one is a 3-in-1 multi-tasker that replaces eye cream, color corrector, and concealer in one product. I tried the light medium shade which matched me perfectly. I love that this has brightening qualities, smoothes fine lines and texture. It looks really nice on, has great brightening coverage, and I really liked it!
I am super picky on concealer and didn’t love the doe foot applicator, which seemed slightly rounded and didn’t apply as much product in one swipe as I would’ve liked. Besides this one tiny packaging preference, I found this to be an excellent product.
For me, this was a hit!

Face & Body Bronzer
Face & Body Bronzer: Bronzer is the best way to warm up my pale complexion any time of the year. I love nothing more than a HUGE bronzer that will last forever. This is that. Golden Pearl is perfect for anyone looking for a sunkissed glow from mineral makeup.
I have come to find that cool tones work better on me than warm tones. This bronzer is a very pretty warm shade but the orange undertones were not quite right on my skin. I tried using this as bronzer, and as eyeshadow, and no matter what way I wear it it just doesn’t give me the healthy glow I am looking for. I’m excited to whip it out in the summer to see if having a base tan helps it look less ruddy on me.
For me, this was a miss!
